MEET MR. COCONUT!!! and we didn’t name him that because he’s a nut…but because he is utterly a sweetheart! Coconut is a real gentleman, who we think is a 4 yr old, 14 lb, gorgeous white baby who is probably a mix of Lhasa (long body), Maltese (soft coat) and Poodle?? You’ll have to do a DNA on him to know for sure but the one thing we can tell you for sure….he is a lovely whatever he is!

Coconut was someone’s loving boy until July 6, when he ended up in the shelter. He didn’t have a microchip, no tags, no collar…but he is a gentle soul who gives sweet kisses, knows how to sit/stay/wait/come and is very well behaved. He fit like a glove going into his foster home, playing well with his foster buddy and cuddling in bed at night. His foster dad cannot say enough wonderful things about him.

However, he does not love being left alone…and since he enjoys playing with other dogs, we think the best home environment would be with another small playful dog — and/or someone who works from home and can give him the time and attention he craves. We are working with him to see how he is when left alone…we’ll report back!!

Finally, Coconut will need a refresher course on his potty training skills but has only had a couple of accidents in his foster home — to be expected. He is smart, wants to please and is very easy on the eyes! We are not sure how we got so lucky…and we’re sure whomever adopts him will be the lucky one, too!
