ADOPTION PENDING!!!

Champagne, now Remi, has gone to her forever home!!

MEET CHAMPAGNE!  This precious 7-8 yr old, 15 lbs (she’s a bigger girl), Maltese mix is sooooo sweet.  She came from the South Central Shelter with a golf ball sized tumor on her abdomen, which was ulcerated and necrotic 🙁  She had surgery, Doc did not think it was cancerous but unfortunately, it turned out to be malignant.  Champagne will be on Chemo for six months…but SHE HAS A WONDERFUL ADOPTER…and she is going home on Tuesday!!

Champagne’s teeth were in pretty good shape and she has a bounce to her step.  She does have a big cataract in one of her eyes but she can still see fine!  She gets very excited when she is going out — or when you play with her.  She does her business outside  and we think she is potty trained (but we never guarantee at your house).  She really doesn’t act like an “old” dog.  She loves other dogs and tries to engage…but doesn’t really play.  She probably would if they would play with her!  Champagne is a good eater and cuddler, either in bed with you or on her own bed.  She does not have a mean bone in her body!  She would be good in almost any home…kids over 8 yrs old and another small dog welcomed.  The only thing we don’t think she likes is being left alone (because she loves her human) but a couple of hours would be okay.  She is not needy (can be independent), but she does need your love.  Are you willing to give it to her?
