MEET BUTTERS….who was living under a car, in the gutter, until a few good Samaritans pulled him out and what a surprise!  This 6 month old, gold/white, 10 lb, Shih Tzu/Maltese mix came out shaking like a leaf  then taken to safety.  No collar, no ID, no microchip…and the search for his people failed.  Maybe they dumped him because he had a cherry eye which needed repair, who knows.  There was no good reason, but we are happy he is safe with us. 

Butters is a smart boy.  Learned the leash in one day, up and down the stairs he’s a ninja warrior!  He is learning to do his business outside, sometimes on the grass or the sidewalk!  Needs official training but we are doing our best!  Butters has the softest coat I have ever felt on a dog…it’s like “butter”!  He will occasionally let out a bark out of nowhere, but he is quiet for the most part.  Great on walks.  But remember, he is still a puppy and needs training.  Still a little shy sometimes but is good taking his meds and LOVES his food!  Give him a few chicken tenders and he’ll love you forever.  We would like Butters to have kids (over 8) and another small dog…and we are still getting to know him.  He just needs a lot of attention, and puppy patience….he gets more active as each day goes by!  He is still sleeping under the bed!!  But he comes out and surprises you!!  He will be a terrific dog for an active family.  Does that sound like you?  Sorry, no out of state adoptions.
