THIS IS BROOKLYN — a 5-year-old, 15-lb, cream-with-gray Maltese/terrier mix (our best guess).  She came to us from the Carson Shelter a total mess.  You would not have believed the condition she was in.  We could not tell which end was up!  With her hair as matted as it was, she had some remaining flea dermatitis but with good food, love and good baths….she is coming along great!  Brooklyn can be a little standoffish at first, but she’s a total lovebug once she’s had a minute to warm up to you.  This girl loves her squeaky toys!  She is not especially playful with other dogs — she’d rather lounge at your feet while you work or relax!  She would be a wonderful family dog (kids over 8 years old, please) and just wants to please you.  She is full of wonderment and curiosity.  There’s no question that she would love to go everywhere with you!  Got room?
