Bri
Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
THIS IS BRI…and they told us at the Apple Valley Shelter she was a Lhasa. Nope, no Lhasa in there. This very petite, 8.5 lb, gray/white, 4 yr old, Bichon/Maltese/Terrier? has long legs, is very small and a sweetheart. She came to us with severely dislocated hips and needed double FHO surgery. We’re assuming she was hit by a car, and we don’t think her life was particularly happy before she came to us. Whoever had her as a baby, docked her tail; we have no idea why. She was actually even fearful of us for the first 5 days or so, so she will need a family who will be patient with her. She is not aggressive at all, she doesn’t bare teeth, growl or bite. You can see “fear of the unknown” it in her eyes and body language. That being said, Bri likes to be close to her person once she’s comfortable. She is a lap dog and a gentle kisser, who will lightly paw at your arm when you try to stop petting her. She wants more!! Bri is walking better now but probably could benefit from water therapy in the pool or a bathtub just to strengthen he limbs. Believe it or not, although we never guarantee, she has learned the doggie door and seems to know where to do her business! Bri doesn’t need to have another dog in the home as she shows no interest in playing with them…but she does have separation anxiety and needs a home where someone is home a lot for her. She is portable enough to go with you everywhere. She might be more suited to live in a house vs. apartment because nobody can be home 24/7! This little lady just needs a lot of love, training and we believe once she is settled and knows she is not going to be dumped again, she will become more secure. Do you think you could fall for this babydoll?
