MEET BISCUIT…who came to us even more frightened than he looks in these pictures! Biscuit, a tri colored, 11 lb, 9 mo (DOB 4/15/2021) Shih Tzu/Spaniel/Poodle was part of a hoarding situation where the owner abandoned her dogs after being evicted.  We are guessing his breeds based on the dogs who were left behind, none of which were spayed or neutered.  We found out that they had not received any vaccinations, in addition to being intact, so that has all been done now!  They are also now microchipped.

Biscuit is one of the sweetest dogs you have ever met…he and Gelato we were told are brothers, even though they look very different!!  He actually hugs you and smiles now!!  Like the others, he was never walked, but he is up walking on a leash now like a pro!!  Loves to run up stairs!!  But, he still needs practice!  He is not completely potty trained yet but working on it.  Now, he will whimper in the morning when he wants to go out!  His foster mom takes him out about 4-5x a day.  This will be a task for his new family.  After all, he is still a puppy and is smart.  He is frightened of other dogs on his walks, but is getting better daily.  He doesn’t always shake anymore!

The best home for Biscuit would be one where there is another dog to help him feel more secure and give him confidence.  He would be good with gentle kids over 8 yrs old and would love to be in a family home.  His other pack loves cats so he probably does too!  He would be best in a house vs. an apartment so that it will be easier to train him.  Still a bit fearful, which might take some time.  Do you have a place in your heart for a sweet Biscuit?  Please do not apply if his needs do not match your home.
