***SHE’S OUT OF THE BUILDING***

MEET AUDREY BELLA….and this cute, b/w, 13 lb, 8-9 yr old Shih Tzu Doxie, as best as we can guess, came to us very scared.  If you are a dog person, wanting to adopt a real “rescue” Audrey is your girl!!

After working with our behavioral training team for the past several months, they figured out she likely suffered handling/grooming traumas at a young age.  Because of this, she can be overly defensive towards anything she perceives as grooming or vet examinations.  But, she needs a home!  She does settle down and she does understand love…but it takes time and patience!  She will need special handling when groomed, going to the vet, etc.

Audrey Bella has had a trauma response of biting in the past.  She, like most of us, does not like when things are forced upon her.  She wants to be a good girl, she just needs a human willing to develop trust and have the patience to understand her needs.  It’s incredibly rewarding to see dogs like Audrey Bella blossom and grow!  Her ideal parent(s) will respect her boundaries and understand her traumas.  She loves affection but will still need her own space to decompress and have “me time.”

With the spunk of a younger pup and having recently gone through extensive obedience training, Audrey Bella proves an older dog can learn new tricks.  She even likes to go for short runs, at her pace of course.  She’s a great listener, loves relaxing (just no massages), and would get along with another well mannered dog (just no kids!).  And, with a cherry on top, she comes with free training support from our behavioral team for the rest of her life!!

If you’re looking to make a new best friend, Audrey Bella needs a best friend.  Please have patience and experience.   She really wants to be loved.

Hooray! This dog has been adopted!
