***ADOPTION PENDING***

INTRODUCING ANSEL…a very happy, smart, b/w, 16 lb, 5 yr old Lhasa mix, who hailed from the Riverside Shelter. When he arrived, he was a stinky mess — bad case of kennel cough, full of worms and a golfball sized lump under his chin. We got him groomed and treated him for tapeworms, and all of a sudden a sweetheart of a pup emerged! Sadly, we think his owners dumped him because they didn’t know how to care for him, but he is such an easy boy!!! Our vet believes he just has an infected lymph node and we are treating it with antibiotics…stand by!!

Ansel is very easy going. He gets along with everyone, is extremely quiet (we haven’t heard him bark yet) and very loving. He is playful with his person…we really haven’t seen him play with other dogs, but he is quite human oriented once he knows you are a friend.

When he arrived, nothing was off limits — marking was a hobby!! However, now that he knows he goes out three times a day, he does his business where he is supposed to! No guarantees at your house, but we believe he wants to please and will be easy to remind!

Ansel is a very adaptable pup, would be good with kids and other dogs (or without) and wants to be your best friend! If you are reading this…you probably need a best friend and he is waiting.
