THIS IS ANNIE…who came to us as a stray and her owner was nowhere to be found.  This little 5 yr old, tan/black, 15 lb, Lhasa Apso, looked like this when she was found:

Her rescue angel was panicked and didn’t know what to do with her… and so she called us.  Poor little orphan Annie was a matted mess, so completely shut down, confused and not sure who to trust.  It takes her a bit to decompress and settle down…warm up…get reoriented.  She is not ill — she has been spayed and updated on her vaccinations and chipped…but she is still a bit skittish.  Who knows how long she had been on the road!?  She still is a little resistant to outward affection, but she warms up and likes to be with you.  The important element in Annie’s life will be LOVE, PATIENCE AND TIME.  Yes, her hair will grow!!  Annie LOVES her morning walks, sunbathing, getting into her foster’s lap and looking out the window to see what’s going on in the world!  She is working on her potty training and Annie is getting it!  She is timid and afraid of being in the car, loud noises sometime frighten her — but with time and exposure, this all should get better.  We think she will be a beauty and  a wonderful companion.  She is already following her foster around and settling in.  Do you have room in your house and heart for a little one who needs you?
