INTRODUCING ANGIE…a petite, frightened, 9 lb, brindle black and gray with a white paw and chest crest, 4-5 yr old (soft coated, non shedding) Teripoo, who was dumped in the shelter by her family because they were moving to Atlanta. I guess they don’t allow small dogs in Atlanta?

Angie was scared to death in the shelter and did not show well. We had to go especially slow with her because after being abandoned, she had no idea where she was or why and she felt she needed to protect herself. It took a few days until she let us love and kiss on her and even still, we go slow. She is beginning to trust us, give us sweet little kisses and follow us around like a normal itty-bitty! Angie is a good eater once she settles down, and she seems to be potty trained with outside access, but we never guarantee! We believe she would probably be best as an only dog, as she is very opinionated where the other dogs are concerned! She isn’t aggressive, she is just afraid of the unknown. She is good on walks and is not reactive to other dogs…and so far, she is pretty quiet and definitely isn’t a yappy dog.

Angie would be a wonderful companion to a family with a calm dog…or just a gentle, calm senior environment. But, remember she loves her walks and would like to take a minimum of 2-3 a day!! She definitely wants to be loved and cuddled and in time, she will likely be a snuggler with her people. Just some patience, time and love will bring forward great rewards from Angie…we love her!
