MEET AMELIA….and a more loyal Lhasa you will never find!  This 21 lb (not fat!!), cream and tan with black tips, 4-5 yr old, Lhasa Apso is the epitome of the wonderful Lhasa qualities.  She is wary of strangers on the street, she is protective (but not in a bad way) and with a bit more training, she will be the best companion ever!  This little lady was found on the streets of LA after she was hit by a car.  She had head trauma, but gratefully, no lingering affects except she lost her eye 🙁  Doesn’t stop her one bit!  When we first got her, we weren’t sure what breed she was…but she has blossomed into a total Lhasa sweetheart!  We adopted her to a great home, but the 7 yr old son became jealous of her, so they had to return her two weeks later!  Amelia enjoys being with her person, but she can also be independent.  She loves her walks and you might just find he trying to steal a toy and take it out with her while she strolls!  She LOVES to play with you and will sit by your side as a great companion would!  She can be protective on walks, but not in a negative way.   She would likely be better suited for a home where there is one person or a couple to bond with…and she bonds quickly.  She is great with other dogs, but doesn’t need one…but we don’t want her left alone all day…that would not make her happy.  One thing:  she must sleep in bed with you — she would not be happy otherwise!  Since she really enjoys her long walks, she likely would not be a fit in a senior home.  Do you have a place on your bed and a space in your heart for Amelia??
