THIS IS ALPHIE….and a more petite or sweet little Shih Tzu mix, you will never meet!  This 5.5 lb, b/w, approximately 4-5 yr old Shih Tzu mix came from the Riverside San Jacinto Shelter.  From the minute we got him, he was kissing us and being a regular, sweet, loving dog.  He is great in the car, good on a leash — although he gets very excited and vocal when he sees another dog (work in progress).  Alphie loves to be held and included in whatever is happening.  His favorite things are toys, belly rubs, giving and receiving kisses and being told how much he is loved!  He is very curious, but he is mellow and hasn’t had any potty accidents — but we never guarantee at your house!  Alphie definitely needs a home where someone is around most of the time or want to take him with when you go out.  He can be independent but would be happier not having to be!  He likes kids and would love a couple of his own!  He can be an only dog, and can amuse himself with toys…but he’d rather have you by his side (or vice versa)!  What’s it all about, Alphie????  “It’s about finding the RIGHT home for me, mama.”
