HERE’S ALLY!!!….a seriously cute 5 yr old, 15 lb, b/w Lhasa Shih Tzu.  This precious pup came from the Riverside Shelter with a huge mass on her chest — and she was stuck there for two months because nobody came for her.  The mass was a simple lipoma (fatty tumor), it was removed and she was a new girl!  Ally is a funny girl.  She can be very independent…but she loves attention!!  We have to confess, she can be a bit of a beggar, but when you tell her ‘enough,’ she is a pretty good listener.   When she is on your lap, she will cuddle with you like she has never been cuddled before.  You can put her on your bed, she will stay for awhile, but she loves sleeping under it!  She is good with other dogs, but she does not need one in the home.  If you throw a toy, as long as she is the only one going for it…she will fetch.  She is very submissive and will not argue with anyone.  We have never even heard her bark (but she does sometime whine to get your attention)!  One thing we have noticed….she LOVES to go for walks and does her business outside….but she is a very swift walker and really appreciates longer walks.  She will paw on the door to go out — but no promises at your house!  She is a good eater and will stand on her hind legs to get a treat.  We are still working on “sit.”  We will tell you more as we learn more, but we think she would be fine with kids over 5 yrs old.  She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body…but we are still waiting for her playful side to show itself!  When you look into Ally’s eyes, she definitely looks straight into your eyes…and you know she is grateful!
