MEET ALBERT….and poor baby looked like this at the shelter so he needed to be shaved to the bone!   

Albert is one of the most gentle, dainty dogs we have ever had.  He is only 9 lbs, about 4-5 yrs old, white and as best we can tell a Maltese mix.  He did have long hair and he will again!!

This petite little man needed to decompress and he has!  He also had a bladder infection, so that was what was bothering him…but no more!  We still have never heard him bark, he never complains, he was seemingly shut down but once he feels secure, he will follow you all over the house and cuddle with you like he’s holding on for life!  He is a very chill dog and easy to take care of, and if you have to leave for a few hours, he’s okay.  He is fine with other dogs but doesn’t “need” one!

We can tell you that he loves everyone, is very friendly and will attach himself to you when you pick him up.  Strangers included!  He just wants to belong!  His foster mom calls him the “world champion of cuddles!”  His potty habits will make you chuckle…as you walk him, when he has to go…he has to go and will stop and make a big puddle (outside).  Same with pooping, so you have to watch or you will miss it!  We have never seen him lift his leg and he prefers the sidewalk to grass (go figure)!  He is a wonderful eater and took treats from me first thing…not picky, he eats what we give him (what’s not to like, we feed the best)!  When he looks at you, you can see the love in his eyes and the desire just to belong to someone!  Probably not the best choice for kids (but we will see what happens when he fully blossoms, which is taking a little time.   We know there is a happy, loving dog in there…he just needs to feel safe to come out!   He just might be the dog for you!
