THIS IS MR. BUZZY….who came to us absolutely terrified.  This petite, ~7 lbs, white/brown, part albino, 7 yr old Maltese mix, has not had a happy life from what we can determine.  Buzzy came to us from the streets of Lynwood, with a horribly abscessed tooth and nine others that needed to be removed.  These little dogs are known for having bad teeth, but this little guy had to be in pain for a long time 🙁  He was scared of the world…especially to be touched as he was expecting pain.  When I held him close and brushed him, he screamed but as I let him know he was safe, he settled down.  At the groomer, he was pretty good!!   We haven’t heard any more screams 😉

Poor Buzzy had NEVER had a belly rub and now he asks for them.  Little by little he has started to come out of his shell, but it might take time and consistency for each new experience (but less time, since we have helped him blossom).  He is NOT aggressive, only protective of himself.  He is fine with other dogs and people, but his priority in life is eating, giving sweet, gentle kisses and being with someone who will make him feel safe and happy.  His foster mom LOVES him!!  He is small and very portable, so you can take him everywhere!  He would love that!  You will need to potty train him…but he is learning the pp pads and to go outside!  He just stops in place and does his business… it’s quite comical!  When you hold him, he just leans into you to feel the love.  He is a really, sweet dog who has had a bum life and needs love and security.  Can you give him that?  He would be good in a mature home that will see to his every need and will have the heart to be patient with him.  Or any home that wants a little more love in their life and love to share… Is that you?
