MEET RUPERT — a black-and-white, 10-lb,  6-year-old Shih Tzu from the Carson shelter.  This little guy was passed over because he was shut down in the shelter, but now that he’s free, he’s showing us what a wonderful dog he really is!  He came to us matted to the bone and with a skin infection, but he’s feeling much better now that he’s been shaved!  Don’t worry — hair grows.   It’s hard to resist Rupert’s big, brown eyes, and once he knows you, he’ll be your best buddy!  He’s a snuggler!  Rupert will cry when he’s left alone, so he definitely needs to go to a home where he’ll have another dog as a companion.   He will give you a warm, energetic welcome whenever he sees you.  He loves playing with toys.  He seems to be potty trained and will use potty pads, but we never guarantee!  Rupert is looking for a home where his humans are around a lot to give him all the love and attention he deserves.  He should be okay with kids over 8 years old.  Could you be his furever family?
