THIS IS OPIE — a 13-lb, 3-yr-old, tan-with-black-mask Shih Tzu with 3 legs!  This poor little guy was dumped in the shelter with a broken leg.  When our vet opened up the leg to repair it, he realized the damage was too severe and had to amputate.  But Opie doesn’t doesn’t let a missing leg slow him down!  He plays fetch with the best of them!  Loves his walks too!  He can be a little possessive of food and toys, but we’ve been working with him on it.  Opie is looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, as he doesn’t like being left alone for more than a few hours at a time.  Kids over 8 yrs old are welcome!  He’d love another small, playful canine companion in the household as well — someone to show him the ropes!  He seems to be housetrained in his foster home, but we never guarantee.  Do you have space in your heart for this adorable tripawd?
