Mimi
***ADOPTION PENDING***
INTRODUCING MIMI….a petite, very sweet, 10 lb, 4 yr old, liver colored Shih Tzu, who was dumped in the South LA Chesterfield shelter with a bladder full of stones 🙁 because her owners couldn’t afford the surgery 🙁 Poor baby was peeing blood and had to be in horrible pain, so we got her out of the shelter and immediately rushed her to our vet — who kindly did the surgery that night!! She would never have made it through the weekend. She is doing great, back to being active and happy!
Mimi is a character. She kept an pulling her cone off — she is very smart! When you begin to make her food, she is talking to you like. “please hurry up!!” She eats like she has never seen food before and turn around and she is finished! She is using the pp pads and doing her business outside like a good girl — but the second you get her out, she squats to pee. Don’t stop on the way out or she will have an accident! Over time, this should get better when her bladder fully heals.
Mimi likes other dogs but we are still trying to determine if she wants one of her own! She is not fond of her roomie Angie, because she is stealing all the love and attention and trying to be the first to get the food bowl! She is great on a leash and loves to meet all the other dogs on our walks. We have determined that she just might want to be your one and only….if you work from home and can pay a lot of attention to her…BUT if you have another dog, and she likes them…maybe they would be good because she likes to play! She makes the decision — you just pay her fee!!
Mimi will be at our adoption event 8/24. Check back for updates…she’s a doll and she won’t last long!!
