MEET JORGIE….a 1.5 yr old, blonde liver (with light eyes), 10.5 lbs, purebred Shih Tzu, who is a total sweetheart. Unfortunately, his mother found out she is going to be a first-time grandmother and her daughter needs her in a different state. She has made the difficult decision to rehome Jorgie, which is the best for all concerned.

Jorgie is a lover who is happiest when he is cuddling and close to his humans, unlike some puppies who are crazy hyper! Don’t get us wrong — he is very energetic and curious — and he loves playing with toys, fetching and going for walks daily, just like most puppies do!

While we never guarantee, Jordie’s mom reports he is crate and potty trained, and he’ll bark, jump on your lap, or gently paw at you when he needs to go outside. He absolutely loves going his walks and greeting new people, fellow dogs and anyone who wants to say hello. He is a very social fella!!

Jorgie would do best in a home with another dog(s) to play with. He came from a litter of 5 and is used to the commotion. He was raised with a senior dog and 2 cats for the first year of his life and did just fine with them. While he hasn’t spent time with children, he’s very sweet and affectionate, and we believe he would do great; probably not ideal for a mature/senior home. He is very gentle and generally doesn’t bark unless someone comes to the door or is playing with other dogs. With love and stability, this affectionate boy will make a wonderful companion and playmate for your whole family.
