Jackson

THIS IS JACKSON — a 12-lb, 3-4 yr old, tan-and-white Lhasa Apso mix (our best guess).  This poor little guy was dumped in the Carson shelter with a split nose and only one nostril.  He appeared to have been attacked by another dog and required surgery to repair his nose.  Now that he’s had a chance to heal, he’s ready for his forever home!  Jackson has great energy, but settles down when his human do.   He doesn’t really seem interested in other dogs — he’s more interested in being with you!   He shows his affection by nuzzling you with his head or rolling over for belly rubs!  He absolutely loves to be held and is a total lap dog.  He will bark for a few minutes when his humans leave, but he settles down quickly.  He loves to go on long walks and would be great on a light hike, but he could use some training on leash manners.  Jackson should be okay in a household with children over 8 years old.  He seems to be potty trained in his foster home, but we never guarantee.  Could Jackson be the pup for you?
