THIS IS DUSTY…a sweet, 13 lb, blonde, 1 yr old Shih Tzu, whose daddy was a chihuahua!  Her brother looks like a Border Terrier! We don’t know the back story, only that SBC called us when her owner was trying to dump them at the shelter. Instead, gratefully, he relinquished them to us. Another rescue took the brother — the two were not bonded.  Little Dusty is so very loving but she was really petrified when she arrived.  You can almost see the “ut oh” in her eyes when you look at her! Now that she is in her foster home, she has relaxed and is showing the puppy energy we knew she had!  We are working with her on potty training, but she’s getting it! She is smart and wants to please.  She has mastered the stairs and walking like a champ!!  She loves people and loves to cuddle and nose your hand to pet her.  Dusty loves meeting other dogs on the street, albeit timidly at first!  We are still getting to know her but what we do know is she is good in the car, likes to give “earned” kisses and is very gentle — but she does have that excitement in her that everyone loves in puppies.  Dusty just wants to be loved.  She is a special girl who would be happy with another dog as she has a lot of love and energy in her and nobody is around 24/7….her personality is blossoming and she is just a perfect doll!!   What she won’t like is being left alone, but only because she loves to be with her humans!
