MEET DUKE....a 10 lb, gold/cream, enormously cute, silly and funny 6 yr old Pomeranian.  He was utterly matted to the bone, and when we picked him up, the shelter had shaved a little here, a little there.  Our groomer gave him this "do" and we think it brings out his adorableness!  We love to give these little guys big names because they always have big personalities.  Duke is no exception.  He is a great little guy...and probably his most favorite thing to do, besides kissing you, is tossling his blankie around in his bed so that he can get it to be perfectly placed and comfy!  He also likes to pretend he is a bull on the grass (after doing his business), and rearranges the landscaping while he is doing it!  Nope, he is not destructive, just hiliarious!  Duke does not like others coming around when he is chewing on a bone or eating....and he is a little reserved with the other dogs.  He would probably be best as your one and only and will sit quietly and stare at you endlessly and longingly -- until you take him for his next walk....which he loves!  Duke can be a little fussy if you are trying to get him to do something he doesn't like, but he is not aggressive at all.  He'll just let you know he doesn't like it and warn you.  For this reason, we think he would be best in a mature home without any children.  However, usually, he greets everyone with a kiss or a dance....he really is a wonderful little guy.  Seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees!  Duke is healthy and happy and quiet....he is not a yappy pom....so if this is your breed, he's a great catch!
